My Journey Into Fitness
Hi my name is Jenn and I'm a self confessed yoga junkie. Until two years ago, I had never been on a gym floor and yoga was my only form of physical training. Throughout my thirties my yoga practice and mostly vegetarian diet allowed me to maintain a fairly lean physique but as I approached my forties something changed. Following pregnancy and a c-section delivery at 39, getting back into shape was hard. Yoga just wasn't cutting it anymore.
Once my kiddo turned 2, and at the age of 41, I made a decision to get into the best shape of my life. I spent months researching nutrition and exercise modalities and joined a gym as a total beginner lifting weights 3 times a week and practicing yoga 2-3 times a week. I poured over articles and podcasts about health, fitness, biohacking, hormones and perimenopause and finally landed on some truths...

Over the months, I saw my body change. My weight stayed the same but I was getting increasingly stronger. My body looked defined and my abs began to reappear. As I began tracking my meals and learning more about nutrition, my cravings stopped and I looked forward to my healthy whole-food meals. This combination of strength training and yoga felt like the golden ticket.
And then people started to notice ...
A New Venture
The first time someone stopped me at the gym to ask if I was a trainer, I was flattered (and shocked) but I knew I was capable of more.
Shortly after I put myself on my first ever cutting phase to see what I could achieve on my own. I entered a six week calorie deficit at 132lbs and just over 20% bodyfat with a body age of 27 and ended at 125lbs, 15.5% bodyfat and a body age of 22. All of this with no deprivation, and ZERO formal cardio. Just a daily step count. I did not restrict myself and still enjoyed eating off my toddlers plate.
What I thought was a 'one off' comment at the gym became a regular occurrence. People began approaching me when I was in the store or at a restaurant to congratulate me on my physique. Mostly women, they would tell me they had tried every diet, every workout class and just couldn't get shape. They were under eating and over relying on cardio and their metabolisms were shot.
I knew I would help these women. At 43 I was in the best shape of my life and I wanted to share everything I had learned, so, I completed my personal training certification with ISSA and became a nutrition coach and SoulTribe Strong was born.

STEP 1:
Upon signing with SoulTribe Strong we'll do a one-on-one in depth assessment of where you are right now and your goals for the next 3 months. You'll be asked to keep an honest food and training diary for one week which we'll use to tailor your initial program

Once we have agreed on your program and goals you'll receive:

FAQs
Q: How many days a week will I be training?
That totally depends on your schedule and other commitments. Great progress can be make with as little as 3 x 40 minute sessions per week if we're efficient!
Q: How much cardio will I need to do?
I achieved my 6 week cut results with ZERO formal cardio. I prefer to set daily step count goals. They are more achievable and dont spike cortisol levels like high impact cardio. P.s. - walking also helps keep hunger levels under control and aids digestion
Q: What kind of food will I be eating?
Food you actually enjoy! We will do a full 'preferences' deep dive so you actually look forward to your meals. I will teach you how to meal prep ingredients so you have delicious meals ready to grab and go on busy days. With macro tracking, there is no need for 'cheat meals' as you'll be able to fit your faves into your plan without blowing your caloric budget - yes, even pizza, tacos and pasta
Q: Can I drink alcohol?
Technically yes, we can totally fit that into your nutrition plan if it's a non-negotiable but lets try to keep it to a couple of glasses a week to see results not just in body composition but in general health and wellbeing
Q: I have a bad relationship with the scale. Will I need to weigh myself
Absolutely not! While I personally weight myself to collect data (I'm kinda into that sort of thing), the best marker of progress is now you feel, how you look and how your clothes are fitting. If you are planning to weigh yourself, I would suggest using a smart scale that also products your bodyfat percentage as weight alone means nothing. A 130lb fit and muscled person will look wildly different compared to a 130lb sedentary person.
Q: How do I track my progress?
Everything is tracked within our awesome new app! You'll complete your workouts, log your weights, reps and sets, check off your daily healthy habits and track your food all in the same place. You can even upload progress photos, search recipes and access my pre-recorded yoga videos. Your biweekly coaching calls will also happen in-app along with a direct line of communication to me via messaging.
Q: Can I sign up for one month?
No and here's why ... it takes at least 6 weeks for the body to adjust fully to a new program. Within that time we tweak and refine to make sure everything is fully dialed in and then we run it until we hit a plateau before re-assessing again. All of this takes time and to get the very best results three months is the golden time period. Imagine your program ending just as you're gathering momentum!
